Nathan is an Attorney and Counsellor at Law who is peer-reviewed AV (4.9 of 5.0) by Martindale Hubbell (the highest possible peer-reviewed rating for Legal Ability and Highest Ethical Standards) and who has been peer-reviewed and selected as a Super Lawyer, a position reserved for only the Top 5% of all Attorneys, and who is ranked 10/10 by AVVO (National Attorney rating entity and peer to peer and attorney to client connection service). He has spent his entire career representing persons and family members and friends of individuals who have been injured or killed through no fault of their own, by the negligence of other people, corporations and the state and federal governments.

In starting the firm, Nathan brings with him significant experience throughout the Commonwealth, from interning for the Hon. B. Waugh Crigler, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Virginia (Ret) while in law school directly to practicing at Tremblay & Smith, PLLC in Charlottesville, Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen’s Fredericksburg office and DiMuro Ginsburg in Alexandria, Virginia.

Nathan is a Professional Ethics Attorney who also aggressively represents people in the areas of Professional Malpractice resulting in life-changing, and life-ending damages, including Legal and Medical malpractice cases. Nathan champions the rights of those persons who are victim of violations of civil rights, protected under the United States and the Virginia Constitutions, in addition to cases involving defamation/libel/slander.

Nathan has practiced his entire career in all manner of federal and state personal injury cases from “fender benders” resulting in injuries that don’t heal as quickly as a person or members of their family might hope, to major and catastrophic motor vehicle, trucking and motorcycle collisions resulting in deaths, catastrophic physical injuries, emotional and mental injuries, and taking on large nursing home and long term care facilities for injury and death of patients, and the likes of Walmart and other massive corporations, major chain restaurants, service stations and grocery stores in cases involving slip-and-falls and trip-and-falls.

Nathan has a proven track-record of success handling personal injury cases in federal court. Many times, these are cases, which are begun by other attorneys, which are subsequently removed from state court to federal court, and are referred to the Veldhuis Law Group because of Nathan’s unique expertise in aggressively prosecuting federal personal injury cases. These are cases (which many Virginia lawyers withdraw from, or send to the Veldhuis Law Group as soon as they are sent to federal court, because of the extreme procedural complexities required by litigation in federal court) involve cases against huge Trucking Companies, involving terrifying trucking crashes caused by the negligence or aggressiveness of the truck drivers, along with cases against the likes of Walmart, Lowe’s, and other massive corporations. These giant Companies virtually always remove cases from state court to federal court where Nathan has a demonstrated track record of success spanning 15+ years, notwithstanding the ever-changing procedural complexities of federal court in both the Eastern District of Virginia (the so called, “Rocket Docket”, because it is one of the fastest moving Judicial Districts in the entire country), and in the Western District of Virginia, and, in conducting his busy federal personal injury practice, has been able to recover significant amounts of money for his clients.

Nathan has served on the Board of Directors of SARA (the Sexual Assault Resource Agency), in Charlottesville, Virginia, and aggressively pursues cases involving rape and sexual assault in massage parlors, doctors’ offices, child care facilities and hotels all the while ensuring the utmost sensitivity and discretion in handling such horrifying and deeply personal matters with the utmost care and professionalism. Continuing his passion for teaching students and helping give a voice to those whose voice is often silenced, Nathan also spent 13 years teaching the Mental Health Law Clinic at the University of Virginia’s School of Law in conjunction with the Legal Aid Justice Center.

Nathan served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia and continues to litigate tirelessly on behalf of persons sustaining Traumatic Brain Injuries as a result of motor vehicle collisions, tractor trailer collisions and dangerous slips-and-falls. Nathan is committed to stamping out life-changing and illegal wrongs that result in persons’ injuries and deaths caused by state and federal governmental entities, including state hospitals, mental health facilities and law enforcement.

Nathan has 15+ years of experience exclusively representing citizens and their families and loved ones throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, from Charlottesville, to Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia, to Richmond and the Tidewater area, and in the District of Columbia.
